The epidemic has hit the economy hard! Citizen groups launch public welfare activities, AVEC chairman donates anti-epidemic materials

In response to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, which has now exceeded one year, Taiwan experienced a sudden surge in cases over the past month. The epidemic prevention level has reached level 3, initially scheduled to end on May 28. However, observing that the situation has not improved, the Central Epidemic Command Center decided to extend the level 3 alert until June 14. Recognizing the challenges posed by the escalating crisis, Chairman Xue Weili of One Together Management & Consulting Technology Co., Ltd., who is also the Chairman of the Association for Vocational Education and Training Innovation and Development in China (AVEC), made a special donation today (28th). He contributed 100 pandemic relief meals and 500 pandemic goggles to the epidemic prevention personnel at Taichung Veterans General Hospital, expressing gratitude for their hard work.

Chairman Xue Weili stated, "Due to the rapid escalation of the epidemic, the medical system is facing a tense situation, and the safety of frontline healthcare workers is undergoing a severe test. Therefore, I specifically procured goggles this time, hoping to contribute to epidemic prevention." In response to the epidemic prevention level, the Ministry of Education has extended the suspension of classes, originally set to start on May 19, until June 14. This has also affected the campus nutrition lunch provided by catering companies. Chairman Xue Weili pointed out, "The ingredients for the meals provided today are specially purchased from small farmers affected by the class suspension. We commissioned a catering company also affected by the suspension to prepare the meals, which adds special significance."

Li Wanguo, Director of the Public Relations Division of Taichung Veterans General Hospital, expressed, "When we received the news for the first time, we felt quite gratified. In the current situation, where everyone is in panic, it is not easy for a company owner to take the lead in responding to charity. We will definitely convey this goodwill to the healthcare workers and let it play its greatest role." The Shalu Fruit and Vegetable Marketing Cooperative stated that Huaxing Green Fruit has been mainly supplying organic vegetables to catering companies. The nationwide class suspension has almost severed all income for local farmers. To help local farmers get through this, the cooperative, with the guidance of the Council of Agriculture, has developed a vegetable box home delivery service. Consumers can enjoy fresh organic vegetables delivered directly from the source without leaving their homes. Liao Ruisheng, the owner of Huaxing Green Fruit, said, "The impact of the class suspension this time has disrupted the vegetable supply chain. Coupled with the recent high temperatures, vegetables are even harder to preserve. This wave of the epidemic has caused a tremendous impact on them, so we are very grateful for Chairman Xue Weili's generous donation."

Chairman Tong Yuxian of the group catering company said, “By chance, I got to know Chairman Xue of AVEC through the Small People Project of the Zhongzhang Tou Branch of the Workforce Development Agency. When he received the notice of the extension of the class suspension immediately, the Chairman immediately took the initiative. Lend a helping hand to assist in the integration of resources, and through a team of professional nutritionists and a central kitchen that has passed HACCP food certification, we will launch nutritionally balanced and healthy reheating foods, and serve as the frontline for people's food safety and health."

In the end, Chairman Xue Weili of AVEC said, "This event is just the beginning. We will also call on more companies and members mentored by the association to respond and purchase fruit and vegetable boxes or reheated food. This will not only help Taiwan's small farmers, but also help them at home together." Do charity. For every box of fruits and vegetables that consumers order, we will donate 10 yuan to the Epidemic Prevention Center of the Ministry of Health and Welfare of the Executive Yuan. We invite everyone to support the production areas at home and do charity. If there are other people who are willing to help small farmers or businesses in need, You are welcome to contact us directly."
