Today, multiple government agencies and private enterprises held a "Post-Pandemic Era Tourism and Catering Craft Low-Carbon Ecology Circle - Cross-Industry ESG Digital Transformation Exchange Meeting" in Taichung City. Vice Premier of the Executive Yuan, Cheng Wen-tsang, and Director Lu Cheng-hua of the Digital Development Department, Digital Industry Bureau, recorded a congratulatory and affirming video, expressing support and encouragement for private enterprises promoting digital transformation.
Deputy Director Wu Chia-ying of the Small and Medium Enterprise Administration (SMEA) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs delivered an insightful speech, emphasizing the importance of digital transformation for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Taiwan. Deputy Director Wu pointed out that when facing market changes and competitive pressures, SMEs need to actively transform to improve product quality and innovation capabilities, with digital transformation being a crucial pathway to achieve these goals. Additionally, she provided more information on SMEA's subsidy policies for the attendees to better understand.
Furthermore, Director Chen Mei-hsiu of the Taichung City Tourism Bureau shared experiences related to ESG green tourism. She encouraged more information service providers to connect with the Taichung City Tourism Bureau's platform to create a win-win market. Director Chiu Hsun-ying of the Employment Service Center of the Central, Changhua, and Nantou Branch of the Workforce Development Agency under the Ministry of Labor called on business owners to apply for the "Small Enterprise Manpower Enhancement Program" and acknowledged the contributions of the Association for Vocational Education and Innovation Development (AVEC) in assisting the government with training. Director Chang Jen-chi of the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute, under the Ministry of Culture, expressed that Taiwan's craft culture has rich resources and technology, and through collaboration with businesses, they aim to innovate and develop Taiwan's craft industry while cultivating more talents. Director Chang stated that the center will continue to strengthen cooperation with the business sector, providing better support to the industry and helping more people enter the craft industry, contributing to Taiwan's cultural and economic development.
Chairman Lin Chi-tsai of the organizing unit, Lingchih Technology Co., Ltd., mentioned that this event showcased the determination and confidence of the government and private enterprises in jointly promoting digital transformation. It also highlighted the active participation and support from various sectors. In the future, the government and private enterprises will continue to collaborate on digital transformation, enhance cooperation, and achieve mutual benefits. Digital transformation will become a crucial pathway for Taiwanese companies to enhance competitiveness and a key factor in realizing the transformation and upgrading of the Taiwanese economy.
Chairman Hsueh Wei-li of the organizing unit, Lingchih Technology Co., Ltd., expressed that effectively utilizing government policy resources and integrating the strength of the private industry is an effective way to achieve cross-domain and cross-industry resource integration. Currently, various government departments provide support and resources in areas such as environmental protection, energy conservation, carbon reduction, and digital transformation. Enterprises should make good use of these resources. Chairman Hsueh also called for increased communication and collaboration among private industries to jointly promote sustainable development and innovation, injecting new momentum into Taiwan's future development.
