(hereinafter referred to as Jonite) specially teamed up with the "International Lions Kaohsiung City Aiyi 300E-3 District" ESG Lions Club The "2024 Run for Love ESG Sustainability Charity Road Run" event will be held on the morning of January 6, 2024. The organizer held a press conference today at the Shinan District Civil Affairs Office, Executive Yuan. The event spokesperson Guaiguai led the co-organizers and sponsors and warmly invited Kaohsiung folks to work together to raise funds for the "Creation Foundation Plant Family Original Bed and Bath Service Fund." It also allows participating runners to appreciate the beautiful scenery of Kaohsiung.

Vice Executive Director Hsu Nai-Wen urged, "Taking care of vegetative patients requires significant funds. This is not just a marathon but an extension of love, a mission for public welfare." He specifically thanked Lion President Xue Wei-Li, who has been actively engaged in philanthropy for a long time. Xue not only received recognition as a representative of good deeds in Kaohsiung last year but also this year, he integrated philanthropy with environmental protection. From using green energy to utilizing recyclable and eco-friendly materials for finishing medals, every detail reflects thoughtful planning. This aligns with the goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, a commitment since President Tsai took office. It also resonates with various government agencies' ESG-related policies, seamlessly integrating them into daily life.

Director Zhou Guan-Hua of the Kaohsiung Branch of the Genesis Social Welfare Foundation mentioned that Lion President Xue Wei-Li has been aware of the challenges faced by Genesis since 2017. He successfully organized a philanthropic marathon with 4,000 participants, recognized as a significant running event in Kaohsiung. Even during the pandemic, Xue Wei-Li assisted in delivering vegetable boxes to nationwide nursing homes and families with vegetative patients, demonstrating deep empathy for the hardships of every family with a vegetative patient. Director Zhou expressed gratitude for Xue Wei-Li's annual dedication of resources and efforts, as well as the love and support from various sectors of society. He hopes that this event will raise awareness and garner support for families with vegetative patients.

The event offers three categories: 3K, 10K, and 21K, with the racecourse passing through the beautiful landscapes of the Yawan District. Emphasizing the use of eco-friendly materials and green energy equipment, participants will receive valuable finisher gifts, including commemorative sweat-wicking T-shirts, finisher medals, eco-friendly cups, sports sunglasses, and multifunctional cooling towels.
