The Kaohsiung AWS Cloud Joint Innovation Center, launched earlier this year, partnered with the Small and Medium Enterprise Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Kaohsiung City Government, and MetaAge, a subsidiary of the Foxconn Group, to jointly organize the "Cloud Innovation Presentation" today. The event aims to share annual achievements and foster local startup unicorns, contributing to the digital transformation of the southern region and creating a new generation of digitally empowered industries.

Various startup teams, including Leadership Technology, Yu Shun, Youming, Tindie, ULEAD, Huali Technology, JOIN IT, and RaySafe Technology, showcased their presence at the event. Zhu Yiqing, Deputy General Manager of MetaAge's New Business Development Center and the driving force behind the Kaohsiung AWS Cloud Joint Innovation Center, stated that 16 companies were selected for guidance this year. These companies leverage AWS technology and resources to develop businesses covering diverse domains such as manufacturing cloud war rooms, chain retail cloud digitization, software innovation for international markets, 5G/AI/IoT/ARVR, and smart healthcare.

AWS emphasized its close relationship with startups. For enterprises facing early-stage funding challenges and unable to afford expensive and difficult-to-manage data centers, the flexibility of AWS cloud services, without regional limitations, provides significant assistance.

As part of the event, two successful south Taiwanese companies that have expanded internationally, namely Kido Dynamics Technology Co., Ltd. and BigGo (HappyGo Corporation), were invited to share their experiences. They not only serve as important partners of AWS but also represent excellent examples of startups going global. Their firsthand accounts resonated with many entrepreneurs, and the interactive and vibrant discussions at the event highlighted the potential for young talents to stay in Kaohsiung and expand internationally through cloud empowerment.

To assist the new startup teams at the Kaohsiung AWS Cloud Joint Innovation Center in gaining more resources, the organizers invited the Taiwan Stock Exchange to share capital market tools. A dedicated VIP session for one-on-one discussions was also arranged to explore potential collaborations between next-generation leaders in traditional industries, local government and academic institutions, and innovative startups. The 30-minute matchmaking sessions left participants eager for more, indicating the likelihood of many potential business opportunities in the future.

With the mature development of cloud technology, many outstanding startup unicorns have emerged. The Small and Medium Enterprise Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Kaohsiung City Government have invited high-performing companies to participate in international competitions. The Kaohsiung AWS Cloud Joint Innovation Center, combining the efforts of the government and private sector, is assisting startups in transitioning to the cloud and collaborating with major companies like BenQ to validate cloud services. The goal is to support the digital transformation of industries in the southern region through the growth of startups.
