Due to the impact of the pandemic, Taiwan's tourism industry faced a significant crisis in May of this year. Chairman Hsu Tian-tsai of the Business Development and Research Institute attended the "Cross-Industry Integration Summit for the Tourism Industry Ecosystem" on the 25th and pointed out that in the face of the crisis caused by the pandemic, how can the tourism industry turn challenges into opportunities? Hsu Tian-tsai believes that in the current environment of unprecedented changes and challenges, cross-industry integration and the creation of a new ecosystem are inevitable trends. Under the guidance of the Industrial Development Bureau, the "New Type Cloud-based Smart Tourism Industry Integration Platform" project, undertaken by the Business Development and Research Institute, integrates the tourism, accommodation, dining, service, and retail industries. It collaborates with relevant resources and knowledge from academia and industry to establish a global tourism hotel industry membership point transaction cloud platform. This platform effectively provides companies with precise marketing based on user behavior patterns and preferences, introducing a new business model.
