〔Reporter Wu Junfeng/Tainan Report〕 With the alleviation of the COVID-19 pandemic, attention is now on when the alert level will be downgraded, sparking a revival in tourism. Today, operators from four regions, including Tainan, Yunlin, and Chiayi counties, gathered to form a regional alliance. They proposed incentive plans to stimulate consumption, showing support for the government's efforts to revitalize domestic tourism.

The "Cross-Domain Integration Summit of the Tourism Industry Ecosystem" was held today at Wanguo Commercial Plaza in Guiren, Tainan. About 250 people from the industry, government, academia, and research sectors attended. Invited guests included Guo Zhenhui, Director of the Tourism Bureau, Chen Kailin, Director of the Economic Development Bureau, and Xu Tiancai, Chairman of the Commercial Development Research Institute. The atmosphere was lively.

Representatives from 65 associations were present, including tourism associations from various counties and cities, hotel associations, bed and breakfast associations, tourism factory associations, as well as representatives from the restaurant, travel agency, small vehicle, and tour guide groups. Collaborative organizations included 20 institutions such as Lihao Chain Hotels, Dong Dong Catering Group, Lebao Group, Axiu Group, Laya Burger, and Uber.

The event also saw the participation of organizations and companies supporting and responding to the revitalization of tourism, as well as representatives from welfare committees. Xie Mingzhen, Chairman of the host Wanguo Commercial Plaza, expressed that due to the impact of the pandemic, domestic and international tourism has been severely affected, and travel restrictions have led to a decline in the sales of luggage. He highlighted the industry's difficulties in the current situation.

Facilitating the collaboration of operators from the Yunlin, Chiayi, and Jiayi areas, the driving force behind this initiative is the Sino-Technology Corporation and the Chinese Vocational Training Education Innovation and Development Association (AVEC) and the Central Taiwan Tourism Industry Alliance (CTTA). They jointly called for cooperation and discussed topics such as "how to effectively unite the tourism ecosystem to enhance consumption value." They also plan to promote the "Civilian Reassurance Travel 3.0 Enhanced Edition."

Xu Tiancai pointed out that in the face of the impact of the pandemic, turning crisis into opportunity, cross-domain integration, and creating a new ecosystem are inevitable trends. This event, combined with the joint efforts of the four cities to revitalize the tourism industry, can leverage the benefits of the central government's revitalization vouchers and help businesses seize opportunities and boost revenue.

Chen Kailin mentioned that the tourism industry ecosystem is a very extensive subject, including food, accommodation, travel, shopping, and more. With the alleviation of the pandemic, the time for revitalization has come, and there must be new reforms. Collaboration can bring about opportunities where 1 plus 1 is greater than 2.

AVEC Chairman Xue Weili emphasized that the pandemic has changed people's consumption habits from physical to online. Through the analysis of the market and demand sides, if an innovative operating model that spans different domains and industries can be established, allowing different data chains to be instantly shared and circulated through a single platform, it can expand each other's customer base and stimulate the economy.

CTTA Chairman Huang Zhengcong emphasized that the Tourism Industry Alliance is committed to assisting the industry in developing food, accommodation, travel, shopping, and other aspects. It not only serves as a consensus alliance but also acts as a bridge for mutual cooperation. By harnessing the power of public associations and local organizations, they aim to jointly promote the optimal effectiveness of the tourism industry, moving away from past individual efforts.
