Lions Club International District 300E-3 first charity road run launched

In response to the global emphasis and urgency on environmental sustainability issues, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) sustainable development has become a crucial indicator for various enterprises. The Lions Club International 300E-3 District, the Kaohsiung Ai-Yi Lions Club, and "Innergy Tech" have been long-time supporters of the Genesis Foundation. They will jointly host the "2023 JOIN IT Love in Benefit ESG Sustainable Charity Run" on October 21 at Dream Mall Square. This event aims to integrate environmental sustainability with philanthropy, promoting the cycle of love. It is expected to attract 5,000 runners to participate.

Today (4), a promotional press conference was held at the Kaohsiung City Council. Secretary-General Huang Jinping attended to show support. Children from the Kaohsiung Private Youqun Milton Kindergarten kicked off the event with lively singing and dancing. Entertainer and goddess "Guai Guai" donned the commemorative running gear, showcasing various finisher's gifts made from environmentally friendly materials with high CP value. On the day of the charity run, solar energy, electronic certificates, and eco-friendly cups will be used, allowing participants to contribute to charity while also caring for the Earth.

President Xue Weili of the Kaohsiung Aiyi Lions Club, who has long been committed to the promotion of sustainability, said: "I have been in contact with Chuangshi for 8 years. I know that saving a vegetative person is equivalent to saving a family. In particular, caring for vegetative people requires huge funds. I hope to inspire the public. Participate in public welfare and encourage people to go outdoors and relieve stress. All remaining funds from the event will be used as annual service funds for the Creation Foundation."

The charity run is one of the essential events organized by the Kaohsiung branch of the Creation Foundation to raise funds for the care of vegetative state patients. The event offers three categories: 3K (NT$799), 10K (NT$899), and 21K (NT$999). Participants will receive a sweat-wicking commemorative T-shirt, finisher's medal, eco-friendly cup, lightweight backpack, and the "Love ES G Sustainable Card" containing discounts from various businesses. Additionally, participants will receive polarized sports sunglasses worth over a thousand dollars. UV100, the sun protection expert, will also provide a multi-functional cooling towel for 21K runners.
