In collaboration with the Hualien County Government and Meet Startup Meetup, the event attracted over 70 startup teams to participate.

At the opening ceremony, several government officials showed their support, including Rao Zhong, Acting Secretary-General of the Hualien County Government, Legislator Fu Kun-chi, and Xu Xueyu, Vice Speaker of the Hualien County Council. During the event, Legislator Fu Kun-chi visited various booths, listening to presentations from startup teams about their product applications. At the booth of Innergy Tech Co., Ltd., he listened to Chairman Xue Weili's introduction of the applications of painted solar panels. After understanding the technological applications, Legislator Fu Kun-chi highly praised the innovation and expressed anticipation for this technology to take root in Hualien.

The exhibition area of the Meet Hualien Innovation and Entrepreneurship Carnival covers various startup themes, including "Beautiful Life," "Sustainable ESG," "Travel-Creation Workation," and "Digital Innovation." Industry leaders from countries such as Japan and South Korea also shared global entrepreneurship trends. During the evening media startup exchange event, Hualien County Magistrate Xu Zhenwei personally attended and interacted with startups. Apart from introducing various favorable policies in Hualien, he invited everyone to become new residents of Hualien. During the event, Chairman Xue Weili was invited to bring the painted solar panel project to Hualien and support the establishment of a demonstration site to promote and drive the application of ESG renewable energy in Hualien County.

She envisions that Hualien will not only be known for its natural beauty but will also embrace an artistic atmosphere infused with humanistic technology. She extended an invitation to Chairman Xue Weili (right) to establish a demonstration site in Hualien.

Chairman Xue Weili of "Innergy Tech" stated that the design philosophy behind painted solar panels is not to compete with traditional solar panels but to address the limitations of traditional panels, which are only suitable for rooftop installations and restricted by space. Although the power generation of facade painted solar panels is lower than that of traditional panels, they seamlessly integrate into the urban environment, unlocking the green energy potential in locations where traditional panels cannot reach. Additionally, the three-dimensional installation area of painted solar panels is, in fact, larger than that of traditional solar panels.

And he further pointed out that active government participation is crucial to promoting painted solar panels in Taiwan. He envisioned a model where the government provides locations, and private funds are used to install painted solar panels, jointly promoting green energy development and carbon credit management. This collaboration not only stimulates the demand for solar panels but also explores possibilities for the reuse of replaced solar panels.

While small and medium-sized enterprises in Taiwan have gradually developed a "carbon reduction" awareness under policy guidance, achieving the "net zero" goal by 2050 still requires significant effort. Through the "art installation" feature of painted solar panels and the solution to the "reflection" issue of traditional panels, there is an opportunity to expand the technology from flat surfaces to facades. This will greatly promote the utilization of new energy sources and progress toward the goal of net-zero carbon emissions.
