Innovative technology combined with charity to connect Taiwan with the world. The Taiwan Reyhanli World Citizen Center (hereinafter referred to as the Turkey Taiwan Center) joined hands with "Join it&Datavan Metaverse Business Applications Center" (established in collaboration with Join it Management Consulting Technology Co., Ltd. and Hongyi International Co., Ltd., stock code: 3521) to hold an exclusive authorization signing ceremony for the charity NFT on the 5th.
During the event, not only was the ESG humanitarian aid system - Taiwan Center introduced, but also the "Charity NFT" fundraising project was further announced. The discussion focused on how to combine issues such as renewable energy public welfare, blockchain empowerment, and Web 3 applications to create forward-looking, innovative, and technological charitable activities.
Since 2017, the Turkey Taiwan Center has been initially supported by project funds from the United States and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan. It also raised funds on the well-known platform "Zeczec." This year, it received a budget from the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and invested in the construction of renewable solar, wind energy systems, and water resource recycling systems, becoming the world's first "100% net-zero carbon" refugee camp. In addition, by establishing a cooperative of refugee women, local handmade crafts and spices are promoted and sold through e-commerce, striving for self-sufficiency and approaching a break-even point, achieving the ideal value goal of a social enterprise. These internationally highly regarded charitable initiatives are all orchestrated by Taiwanese architectural scholar Qiu Zhenyu, allowing the world to see Taiwan with a more diverse and creative perspective.
The entity that received the exclusive authorization for the NFT is "Join it Management Consulting Technology Co., Ltd.," which has been dedicated to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Chairman Xue Weili, who recently received the Good Person and Good Deed Representative Award from Kaohsiung City, stated, "Using cutting-edge technology combined with creative charity is the best way to break down international barriers and promote Taiwan's love and care. We will give back to each participant a commemorative NFT. Through the tamper-proof technology of blockchain, the Turkey Taiwan Center's entire charity fund execution process will be recorded openly and transparently, gaining the maximum trust of fundraisers, and promoting charitable causes even more."
Zhang Hongtai, Chairman of Hongyi International Co., Ltd., who co-founded the Metaverse Business Applications Center, explained, "The first event is such a meaningful international public welfare ESG humanitarian aid. In the future, Hongyi International will work together with 'Together' to use digital technology to transform the industry."
Qiu Zhenyu, Chairman of the International Humanitarian Architecture and Education Association, who played a key role in the establishment of the Turkey Taiwan Center, also shared the challenging process of rescuing refugee children and building the first shelter. A crucial point in this process was the lack of fundraising tools and channels to connect to international platform resources. Through the "Charity NFT - Taiwan Center WEB 3 Fundraising Scheme," Taiwan, which finds it challenging to directly participate in humanitarian aid activities due to its international status, now has the opportunity to fully utilize its potential.
Such a charitable initiative has also received praise from the National Human Rights Commission of the Control Yuan, Commissioner Fan Xunlu, who stated, "Human rights have no borders. Taiwan's international respect lies in its participation in safeguarding human rights worldwide." Director Gu Yi-qin of the Cultural Exchange Department of the Ministry of Culture expressed, "In the humanitarian crisis of conflict areas, under the shelter of the Taiwan Center's dome, the depth of cultural exchange is highlighted, showcasing the goodness and beauty of human civilization." Legislator Lin Jing-yi praised the Taiwan Center, seeing the participation of young people from Taiwan in international humanitarian aid as a rare opportunity in diplomatic history.
Gary Huang, the first Chinese president of Rotary International, stated, "During my tenure, I had the opportunity to visit Turkey, 8,000 kilometers away. The culture of that country is similar to Taiwan in many ways, and the local Rotary clubs are very active. Taiwanese Rotary clubs are also generous, donating an average of $15 million USD per year. Through such emerging mutual aid methods, providing love and care to local refugees, we also bring more substantial benefits."
The "Charity NFT" fundraising project is managed by Bifrost, a subsidiary of Pioneer Capital, responsible for blockchain consulting and supporting blockchain technologies such as smart contracts required for NFT issuance. Through the tamper-proof nature of blockchain technology, the initiative achieves the characteristics of "security, transparency, and trust," providing a novel platform for conveying charitable values. It aligns with applications in ESG and CSR corporate scenarios, welcoming both large corporations and individuals to respond to charitable fundraising. Through innovative initiatives, Taiwan's care is transmitted to the world.
