To welcome the post-epidemic tourism wave, industry, government and academia gather to discuss digital transformation
(Veetv Zhongdu News)[Reporter Xie Peiyin / Taichung Report] In anticipation of the post-pandemic tourism boom in Taiwan, Lingzhi Technology held a special industry exchange symposium on the topic of "Ecological Circle of Tourism, Catering, and Craftsmanship with a Low-Carbon Footprint." Experts from industry, government, research, and private sectors were invited to discuss how to integrate ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) digital transformation in the post-pandemic era. The goal was to sustainably utilize the momentum of tourism and promote the prosperity of business districts through a circular economy.
Representatives from various enterprises took the stage to jointly sign a memorandum of cooperation, hoping to collectively drive changes and development in the tourism, catering, and craftsmanship industries in the future. This exchange forum, combining industry, government, and academia, focused on the core theme of the ecological circle of tourism, catering, and craftsmanship. It brought forth profitable models for digital transformation under sustainable management. Officials present included Wu Chia-ying, Deputy Director-General of the Small and Medium Enterprise Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs; Zhang Renji, Director of the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center under the Ministry of Culture; Zhang Feng-yuan, Director-General of the Economic Development Bureau of the Taichung City Government; Chen Mei-hsiu, Director-General of the Tourism Bureau of the Taichung City Government; and Qiu Xun-ying, Director of the Taichung Employment Center of the Central, Changhua, and Nantou Regional Branch of the Workforce Development Agency, Ministry of Labor.
The organizer, Lingzhi Technology, has been involved in the development of hotel and guesthouse management software since 1990. It provides front and back-office systems for hotels, guesthouses, and automated management systems, serving over 1,200 domestic customers. This symposium aimed to initiate cross-domain ESG digital transformation discussions with a new perspective on the digital economy. The Small and Medium Enterprise Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs delivered a keynote speech on "The Impact and Response Strategies of Digital Thinking on the Digital Transformation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises," expressing its emphasis on and support for SMEs.
By introducing technology into the tourism and leisure industry and adopting new digital economic thinking, a green platform was created to connect tourist attractions, craft communities, dining, business districts, and accommodation associations. The organizers hope that through cross-domain collaboration, economic activity will grow, driving industry upgrades and sustainable development.
