The 2022 Chinese Public Welfare Festival and the 5th Chinese Corporate Social Responsibility Gold Award ceremony, guided by the Taipei City Government's Industrial Development Bureau, took place on the 9th of this month. The event recognized and awarded public welfare enterprises that have persisted in contributing to society despite the challenges of the pandemic. Mr. Xue Weili, Founder and Chairman of Join In Technology, received the Corporate Social Responsibility Gold Award from Mr. Wu Den-yih, the former Vice President of the Republic of China.

Since the inception of his entrepreneurial journey, Xue Weili has adhered to the spirit of taking from society and giving back to society. He has consistently devoted himself to public welfare and fulfilled corporate social responsibility. This year, after being selected as the representative for the 11th Good People and Good Deeds in Kaohsiung, he continued to actively promote public welfare. During the pandemic, he not only made donations and provided essential supplies but also donated protective isolation suits and sun protection sleeves to firefighters, paramedics, and medical personnel. Moreover, he raised over 1,200 boxes of vegetables for the Genesis Social Welfare Foundation's branches nationwide, providing material assistance and funeral expenses for impoverished families. This award is well-deserved recognition of his efforts.

Xue Weili stated, "Thank you to the judging committee for their recognition and gratitude to all the partners who have been willing to work together with us for public welfare. This honor will be the greatest driving force for our company's progress. In recent years, due to the impact of the pandemic on the overall economic environment, it has been tough for startups. However, I firmly believe that ESG and CSR are not something to start when a company has grown in scale; they should be implemented step by step from the beginning of entrepreneurship. Investing in public welfare helps one understand that only by growing and strengthening the company can it assume more social responsibility. Leading by example, we can inspire more people to contribute and give back to society together."

Regarding public welfare and sustainability, Taiwan has abundant civic vitality and certainly has the capability to participate internationally. Therefore, Xue Weili also announced that on the 28th of this month, Join In will officially sign a contract with the Taiwan-Leihanler World Citizens Center (Taiwan Center), located on the border between Turkey and Syria and highly valued by international organizations. In the future, besides helping raise funds for various project plans, such as basic education for refugees, women's vocational training, water resources, and renewable energy development, at the Taiwan Center, Join In has also obtained exclusive authorization to issue NFTs. By combining popular technology platforms with public welfare, Join In will give each participant a commemorative NFT. Through blockchain-related technology, it will transparently record the projects executed by the Taiwan Center using the raised funds. Leveraging digital tools and the power of the community, this initiative aims to make Taiwan more visible and better known internationally.

Qiu Zhenyu, CEO of the Taiwan Center, said, "Congratulations to Join In for receiving the Chinese Corporate Social Responsibility Gold Award. We also appreciate Chairman Xue Weili for immediately proposing a plan to align ESG with international standards through digital public welfare upon understanding the situation of the Taiwan Center. In the past, we struggled with the lack of tools to connect with international platforms' resources, and it was challenging for Taiwan to directly engage in frontline humanitarian activities internationally. However, through cooperation with Join In this time, we are confident that 'through the global issuance of Taiwan Center's NFTs by Join In, humanitarianism will no longer be bound by borders.'"
