The "Taiwan Smart Net Zero Building Alliance", conceived by Secretary-General of the Presidential Office Lin Jialong and Minister of the Interior Lin Youchang in September last year, held a membership meeting at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology today (12th). The "Taiwan Smart Net-Zero Building Alliance" was established in September last year. It currently has more than 200 members, including leaders in the field of net-zero buildings such as industry, government, academia, and research. The alliance held a membership meeting and cross-border conference this afternoon at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. In his speech, Minister of the Interior Lin Youchang said that under his suggestion, the alliance established five major committees, including the Research and Development Committee, the Technology Exchange Committee, the Information Communications and System Integration Committee, the Energy Storage Construction Committee, and the Smart Industry Promotion Committee. He believed that each committee would It will produce valuable suggestions so that government ministries and councils can achieve twice the result with half the effort in promoting net zero.
Minister Lin Youchang also emphasized that the Ministry of Interior has begun planning to imitate the science and technology subsidy model of the National Science Council and the Ministry of Economic Affairs to target the research and development of new technologies and new materials in the construction field, and encourage the use of new technologies and new construction methods, because as long as they can Optimizing building efficiency will greatly help reduce carbon emissions. He also said that the Ministry of Interior will next take stock of the gaps in domestic net zero talents, and integrate the teaching resources of the Ministry of Education to train the talents needed by the industry, so that all aspects of net zero can receive the government support they deserve.
